Fickle Bitch!

Well, my lap band decided to come out and play today.

Oh. Em. Gee.

As you all know, I have very little restriction in my band and can pretty much eat whatever I damn well please except for the mornings or when I'm dehydrated. But this evening, the fickle little bitch decided it would be super fun to be tight and After eating about 2 bites of food which I chewed very slowly and thoroughly, I got that lovely stuck feeling and proceeded to have issues (you know the issues), culminating in loss of all the food I'd eaten after about 45 minutes.

What. The. Freak?!?!

Does anybody else have days/times when your band has a serious mind of its own?

Also, I found this after that little kid called me fat at the coffee shop.

That same day I read a study about patients not trusting physicians who were overweight to be as good of clinicians as physicians who were normal weight (that hit home pretty hard). Also, today I learned that the leading cause of endometrial cancer is excess estrogen in general secondary to obesity. Just another reason on my list of reasons I'm trying my best to be a more healthy version of myself.

I don't think fat is the worst thing you can be, but I don't want to have to worry about it any more. That's why I made my decision to get a lap band. And that is why I try my best, even when I fail miserably, to do my best.

Just some food for thought...

  3. Fat is definitely NOT the worst thing to be. But I didn't want it to keep me from doing anything I wanted to do. Hope your band loosens up for you!

  5. AGREE. There are WAY worse things to be than fat...but regardless, you're still seen a certain way when you carry around extra weight, and that translates to real life. It's lame, but true.

Haven't had any band issues yet but I still only have 3 ccs in my 14 cc band, and can't feel squat yet :) Sorry about yours getting bitchy with you...hope you're not still having issues with it!
