Feeling frustrated plus a confusing NSV!

So the scale isn't budging. I know I said I wouldn't obsessively weight myself, but I am. And even my Wii fit says I've gained weight.

I. Do. Not. Understand.

I have been eating healthy. I have been drinking protein shakes in the mornings because my band is angry in the mornings and I am supposed to get protein within 1 hour if waking up. I have been exercising quite a lot. I have been getting enough sleep. The thing I've not done great is I haven't been drinking enough water.

I am just confused.

And to too that off, my damn pants are too big. They are the ones I bought recently. I haven't worn them in probably 2 weeks cause I honestly couldn't find them but I put them on today and they were baggy... Noticeably baggy. And the shirt I put on with them was too. It was wonderful. I wore the outfit because I was running late but I got a few comments about my baggy clothes.

I just don't understand how the two aren't correlating...

Ugh.

  1. Water is a big deal for me. If I don't get the right amount in every day it has a huge affect on the scale. I am a scale whore and weigh myself several times a day. I totally love that last picture!! I so feel like that! Keep up the work and increase your water. It will make a difference! Good job!

  2. I had a week where I "gained" 4lbs and FREAKED OUT. And then I looked at my food - I was eating 2 dill pickles each day at lunch! A week later, that 4lbs had vanished because I got the sodium out of my system. :)

Don't always go by the scale!

    AND I LOVE THAT PICTURE!

  3. You know I heard that too that you should eat first thing in the morning and you know what.....I say..eat when your hungry and if you are not hungry..don't eat.(or drink)

  4. Try not to stress yourself over this. I plateau'd for 6 weeks. The scale just WOULD NOT change. The doctor suggested instead of my 3 meals per day, I switch to 5 smaller. I switched for about a week (same caloric intake) and the weight started moving again!

  5. Maybe it's muscle gain, Harli? Or just water retention. But like Jenn said, I've heard that if you're not hungry in the morning, don't eat/drink. The book they gave me before surgery says the same thing. But not every week is going to be a loss. YOU are doing great!

  7. regardless of the number on the scale it sure sounds like you are dropping some weight. Try not to focus so much on the scale....hahaha, that actually came out of my mouth.

  8. I have the same experience when the scale goes up or stays the same but clothes fit differently. I think of it as the "load shifting". Eventually the scale catches up. Be patient, especially if you know you are doing the right things right.

  9. I have had the same thing happen to me. Scale kept moving up and down the same couple of pounds no matter what I was doing, and my pants are getting so big the are falling off. So I've broken up with me scale. It was only driving me crazy. So for April I am only weighing in twice, once in the beginning and then again at the end.

I am so stealing that pic. That's so me!!
