Making promises...

Somewhere between the gossip and the giggling while stuffing race day bags with some very dear friends, we came up with the crazy idea that we are going to run the marathon next year which will be right before we graduate.

A few of my friends are avid runners (running the half this year, in like 3 weeks) but for the most part, the rest of us don't really run all that much.

Two of the things on my bucket list are to finish a marathon and to finish the San Francisco Marathon.

Why not check the "marathon" off my bucket list while running with some of the best friends I've ever had.

So one of my runner friends got me set up with a couch to 5 K plan that ill do and then bridge that into Hal Higdon's Novice Marathon training plan.

I have a full year to get there so I'm going to do it. Even if I can't run the whole thing, I'm going to finish the race with my friends. We made a promise and so I'm going to do it!!

On the crossfit front...
So I did my 7 days like I said I would and it was great. The bad thing is that you need more equipment than the blog author lets on that you do. Today one of the workouts was pull ups. I don't have a pull up bar so I just did push ups (still doing the girl ones but they are getting easier every time).

I think I am going to do the couch to 5K training thing and and to my yoga 3x per week as recommended by the anxiety counselor lady.

Getting a routine down will be really great

I kind of feel like everything that has been turned upside down and backward for the last while has started to turn around and that has me super excited!!

  2. That sounds fun! I'm not a runner at all, but a marathon always sounds like a great goal to strive for.

    1. I'm absolutely not either and never really have been. In high school i would run if I had to for sports but never note than a couple miles at most.

I'm curious to see what I can do :)
